Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten has welcomed CGU’s leadership in introducing automatic flood cover on our Home and Landlords policies.
Following CGU’s announcement today that we will be providing automatic flood cover in our Home and Landlords policies, Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten has welcome CGU’s leadership and called on other insurers to follow suit.
Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten said: "Today, the Government also welcomes the announcement by CGU that, from February 2012, it will be extending flood insurance coverage."
"I call on other insurers to match CGU’s improved customer service on a range of fronts, including flood coverage, payment frequency and dispute resolution."
The Assistant Treasurer made his comments as part of an announcement of draft regulations around the introduction of a standard definition of flood for insurance.
