Service Providers

Information for CGU’s network of Workers Compensation services providers.

Provider management framework

The provider management framework consists of three key areas:

  • Procurement of panels – Conducting tenders across each provider network to ensure effective partner relationships are established.
  • Performance management – Assessing the performance of providers across a variety of metrics and utilises Service Level Agreements to ensure a common understanding of expectations.
  • Maintenance of panels – Utilising performance tools to realign and enhance working relationships with providers.

Payment of reasonable and necessary intervention

CGU will pay for the cost of treatment or intervention that is deemed reasonable and necessary.

To ensure accurate payment, providers must submit itemised invoices that include:

  • injured worker’s name and claim number
  • payee details including ABN
  • name of provider who delivered the service
  • provider number
  • date of service
  • WorkCover payment classification code
  • service cost for each WorkCover classification code
  • service duration (if applicable).
